How to see if my books may not be for you.

TW can be beneficial in genres where it isn’t always expected. When you write some pretty dark and psychological horror and thrillers, especially those with a twist, it can be difficult to give a warning without ruining important events in the book.

There are warnings in the first pages of my books, but if you are buying them before looking inside (or just want to check) you can check out doesthedogdie.com to see what the books may possibly contain and if this will make it more of an unpleasant experience than you wanted.

Most of my writings are based on nightmares, terrifying scenarios, and dark ideas and are often rather grim. I never aim to offend, only to thrill and haunt.

If you want to know how bad a scene is, do not hesitate to comment or message me for more information.

Sever the Circle ebook Issues : SOLVED

Edit: The files have been updated properly! If your wbook version still has an issue in chapter 14, deleted and reinstall for the corrected version. Thank you so much!

Over the holidays I had many people take advantage of the free download opportunities for my books. This was amazing and I thank all of you who have read and enjoyed my books.

I was informed, however, that in chapter 14 of Sever the Circle, there is an all caps line between 2 paragraphs that says “Explain/expand more on weird town stuff”. Oops. Somehow an older version of Sever was uploaded to the ebook while the most recent has been used for the paperback.

I am working to get the files changed out and will post when it is corrected. Some devices will live update with the new version whereas others may have to delete and re-download to get the fixed copy.

I do apologize and appreciate any and all patience. I also appreciate, so very much, everyone’s support and enthusiasm for my writings.

Mind the Mirrors

MindTheMirrors

Dreams are but our brains reflecting what they have seen, experienced, and imagined. These images can be distorted, reversed, warped, and deformed into something terrifying. Delve into stories born from nightmares and contorted into journeys dark and fearsome, the corrupt dreams of a darkened mind.

Stories Included:

  • Ramblings of Death
  • She Can Help
  • Swallowed
  • Shake it Off
  • Fleeing Neurosis
  • Hungover
  • It Was Always the Children
  • Within Me
  • The Game is Broken
  • Home
  • Breakers
  • Spatial Dimensions
  • Adventures in the Dark
  • An App for That
  • Mind the Mirror’s Reflection

This was an excellent collection of short horror stories by an author I had not read before. Each story dealt with topics that many of us most likely have dreamed about, wondered about, or feared before (either as children or adults). They were all very creative and even the stories that were short, packed a good wallop!

I especially loved “Adventures in the Dark” which explored themes of “good Christian folk” who are actually nasty people to hide behind their faith yet still judge others and commit bad acts and what happens to these people, “She Can Help” which dealt with the trauma of domestic abuse and our attackers getting their come-upings, “Hungover”, which plays on the well-worn vampire trope but in a very well-done manner, and “It Was Always the Children” which played out like an Invasion of the Body Snatchers movie.

A very well-done collection of stories for sure!
